New Tandoori Cafe
Purely halal counter at 405 Saratoga Avenue in West San Jose, where the house still cooks over a real clay tandoor oven the owner says is one of the few left in the Bay Area; the card runs tandoori platters, wraps and kebabs, with a weekend Zafrani goat dum biryani special. Open daily from 11:30 am, until 9:30 pm Sunday through Thursday and 10 pm Friday and Saturday.
